Magnificent Microbrewery Run
The Magnificent Microbrewery Run is just that: eight exceptional microbreweries, two bridges, all in under 5 km. Start this (wh)ale of an adventure with a stupendous sampling at Spinnakers Brewpub, then make your way along the beautiful Songhees Walkway that hugs the north shore of Victoria’s Inner harbour, cross the Johnson Street Bridge and your next stop is Swans Brewery & Pub. Suitably refreshed, continue on to Canoe Brewpub. After more extraordinary sampling, proceed to Phillips Brewing, with still more extraordinary sampling, then a few blocks up Government St., quench your growing thirst at Vancouver Island Brewing. Just around the corner, and only a short distance away, are the last three microbreweries, and they are all outstanding…Hoyne Brewing, Driftwood Brewery and Moon Under Water Brewpub. Fortunately, they are all within three blocks of each other!
Two Wine-One Beer Run
As we suggest this route be done one direction, you can start this titillating adventure run from either end. If running west to east, begin at Church and State Wines off Keating Cross Road, then continue down the road several blocks to Category 12 Brewing. From there, cross the Pat Bay Highway at Island View Rd. and make your way to the delightful Parsell Vineyard.
Central Saanich 3-Wine Tour
Starting and ending at de Vine Wines & Spirits, this great wine tour makes stops at two other wineries in Central Saanich: Rathjen and Symphony. Most of the route takes you along delightful Old West Saanich and Oldfield roads. If three wineries just aren't enough for one run, continue up to Church and State Wines by Butterfly Gardens.
North Saanich Two Wine - One Beer Run
As we suggest this route be done one direction, you can start this titillating adventure run from either end. If running north to south, begin at the Deep Cove Winery, then continue past beautiful Pat Bay to Howl Brewing (adjacent to the Fickle Pig Farm Market). From there, follow 'The Flight Path' foot and bicycle path that circles the airport until you eventually reach The Roost Winery.
